First Term Project: the RoRo Controller - An 8-Bit RISC Controller
Abstract
The goal of this thesis was to implement a microcontroller compatible to the ATMEL AVR AT90S1200. The AVR series is a present-day relatively often used microcontroller family, because it is a RISC architecture and therefore an "easy assembler programming model" and specially because it includes on chip FLASH and EEPROM memories within the same package.
The main task of this semester thesis was to write VHDL sources for the processor core, so that it can be used in a larger VLSI design as a controller.
